When folks in Northern ireland
greet a singular adult male
they say 'Hello big man'.
When it is said to me
I am always surprised.
'Me? Big?' is my first thought.
To myself I am always a child
and the part of me I'd like to be
of greatest significance and size
is my open-ness and curiosity.
